Something's in the works
Websites, the Markdown way.
A calmer take on how websites get written and published — built around the way many of us already like to write.
What it's about
Writing a website shouldn't feel like switching jobs.
MarkdownSiteBuilder started from a simple itch: publishing a site often feels heavier than writing the content itself.
This project is an attempt to gently rebalance that — not by doing everything, but by making the important parts feel lighter, quieter, and closer to the way people already work.
“I kept thinking, ‘there has to be a quieter way to put words on the web.’ So I started building one.”
Right now, MarkdownSiteBuilder is in that honest middle stage: real enough to take shape, not yet ready to hand over broadly.
It is moving forward carefully, and that feels like the right pace. If this sounds like something worth rooting for, this page will be the first place to say when it is ready.
Questions
A few things you might be wondering.
-
A small, focused tool for writing and publishing websites, with Markdown at the center. Think of it less as a big platform and more as a calm piece of infrastructure behind the scenes.
-
People who already live in Markdown — developers, writers, and small teams — and who want publishing to feel like a natural extension of writing, not a separate chore with a different mindset.
-
Not yet. The goal is not to rush to a date, but to reach a point where it feels genuinely ready to use in the wild. Progress is steady, and this page will be updated as things get closer.
